We help employees turn job offers, untenable work situations, or separation agreements, into informed and empowered choices, so they can focus on their future while leaving nothing on the table. We help our clients by providing practical guidance to HR or the C-Suite, drafting strategic, legally-sound employment policies, contracts and employee handbooks, conducting internal audits of workplace practices (e.g., independent contractor classification; exemption classification etc.), drafting position statements/lawyers' letters, performing due diligence for contemplated business transactions, leading HR and managerial training (e.g., sexual harassment training, new leave laws), and providing advocacy related to the protection of confidential information and protected business relationships. We also run an innovative and proactive fractional counsel "Employment Law Co-Op" program for qualifying organizational clients. We frequently help employees understand, negotiate and comply with offer letters, employment contracts (including non-compete/non-solicit agreements), retention bonus agreements, and separation/severance agreements. We represent both employers and employees in bringing, or responding to, employee-related suits related to discrimination, harassment, wage/commission payment violations, theft of trade secrets, breaches of employment and equity contracts, and violations of non-competes and non-solicitits.
