About Women Changemakers for Education

Gender inequality, lack of support, and the invisibility of their accomplishments often hinder women from assuming roles of leadership. This dampens initiative and innovation perpetuating cycles of powerlessness and poverty. We believe that by supporting and promoting women on their leadership journeys we will increase the impact of women leaders in education, and create a better world. Women Changemakers for Education identifies, supports and promotes high achieving female leaders in education, providing skills to help them multiply their potential for social innovation and change. We connect these leaders, who are innovators, pioneers, and changemakers, with leadership training, mentorship, small program micro-grants, professional peers, and technical experts. Our Fellows join the global stage and are proud to say: “I am a Women Changemakers for Education Fellow!”
