About Women's Home Preservation

We are a mission-driven real estate development firm dedicated to transforming structurally disinvested communities with a focus on creating edifying housing for women who are heads of households (single mothers, widows). Our approach is to restore the social and cultural rather than the built environment only. For this reason, we co-create with the community. Working hand in hand with a community, we bring about projects of scale and significance to force a paradigm shift in one’s view of a community. Where one would expect another small rehab, we bring on the power of our high-caliber partners to execute on our bold and transformative visions. Concurrently with the built activities, we work with the community to develop the cultural, political, and socioeconomic dimensions of our projects. Spatial justice, the notion of who gets to be represented in a space, cannot be ignored in this 21st century.
