Women Support Initiative Forum (WSIF) has been one of the first-ever psychosocial support platforms for women in Bangladesh, focusing solely on promoting women’s wellbeing and mental health awareness since 2018. WSIF VISION To contribute to developing Bangladesh as a country, where everyone recognizes the importance of mental health. WSIF OBJECTIVES • Creating mass awareness regarding mental health • Improving health care seeking behavior in terms of mental health particularly amongst women • Reducing the stigma associated with seeking mental health care. • Building capacity of youth volunteers WSIF ACCOMPLISHMENTS ; TO DATE • 22 face-to-face mental health awareness sessions with 2000 participants. • 400 face-to-face and 550 online psychosocial sessions which include 120 free-of-costs sessions were conducted for students and the rest at the lowest cost possible in Bangladesh.
