About Women Through Film

Women Through Film (WOTF), is a dynamic women-led media house empowering independent women filmmakers in film direction, production, and impactful storytelling. Featured by BBC Urdu, BBC Asian Network, and more, our work weaves advocacy into social impact storytelling, amplifying the voices of the marginalized. We are the recipient of the Life-Effects Star Award 2017 and the Intercultural Achievement Recognition Award 2018. We are a team that has undertaken commissioned projects for the U.S. State Department, European Union, UN Women Pakistan, and others. We explore diverse narratives through our flagship initiative, the Women International Film Festival (WIFF), now in its eighth edition. Join us in creating meaningful dialogues and fostering positive change through the lens of women-led storytelling.
