About World Animal Justice

World Animal Justice (WAJ) is dedicated to advance animal justice worldwide. As a unique group of international animal lawyers, we are working to defend animal rights and to end animal crimes. WAJ is the leading organization paving the way for "crimes against animality" and "zoocide" to be fully recognized and forbidden in international criminal law. WAJ aims to achieve global bans on the major crimes against animals in priority, knowing the institutionalized crimes victimizing trillions of animals every year in factory farming. This is why WAJ is part of the END.IT coalition in asking for a Global Agreement to Ban Factory Farming. WAJ is also active to prohibit wildlife crimes as a transnational organized crime, linked to other forms of human and environmental criminality at the UNTOC and as part of the Alliance on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
