About World Business Council for Sustainable Development

The time for action is now. We are the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a community of leaders from over 200 of the world’s leading businesses working collectively to accelerate the system transformations needed for a net zero, nature-positive and more equitable future. We envision a world in which more than 9 billion people can thrive within the limits of our planet by 2050. Our community is built on collaboration, shared solutions and purpose. We lead change by driving progress and best practice, improving performance and offering education, building partnerships, and shaping the policy agenda. Business leaders join us to raise their ambition for a better world, deliver action at speed and scale in their operations and value chains and sharpen the accountability of their performance. Together, we are creating the building blocks of change to accelerate the system transformations needed for a brighter tomorrow.
