About World Cleanup Day Global

Welcome to the *official* LinkedIn page for World Cleanup Day's global activity, brought to you by our Tallinn-based HQ. World Cleanup Day is the flagship project of the Estonia-based NGO Let's Do It World, a unifying movement that transcends borders, cultural differences, and even conflicts. Since 2018, World Cleanup Day has become the biggest civic movement in human history, uniting 211 countries and territories – which includes 95% of UN-listed countries – across the world, and 91 million volunteers, equal to 1.1% of global population – all striving to create a cleaner planet. On one single day each year, volunteers and partners worldwide come together, to raise awareness of the global mismanaged waste crisis. Our overall mission is to create a waste-free world through cross-sector cooperation, at all levels of society, and in every nation on Earth. In 2023, the United Nations unanimously proclaimed a resolution to declare 20 September as World Cleanup Day every year, thus adding it to their official Calendar of International Days and Weeks. The movement is a decentralized one, with a main HQ in Tallinn, Estonia, and with individual countries forming a localized campaign centre, e.g. World Cleanup Day France, or World Cleanup Day Germany, or World Cleanup Day Mexico, etc. This page is the official communication channel for all World Cleanup Day-related efforts globally and will feature news, updates, interviews, marketing assets, and promotional activities all year round. Please do share the posts in your own networks and feel free to contact us here, or via email, with any ideas, suggestions, or questions – [email protected] We are people for a waste-free world – join us!
