About World Habitat

World Habitat - formerly known as the Building and Social Housing Foundation (BSHF) - is a global housing charity. Everyone has the right to a safe, sustainable home. We find, celebrate & help transfer the world’s best housing #WorldHabitatAwards #EndStreetHomelessness #CommunityLedHousing #HousingRights We’re a catalyst for change. Which means we identify great housing ideas and solutions, we transfer those ideas to people and places who need to know about them. We aim to benefit people around the world who need these ideas the most. We are best known for our World Habitat Awards which recognise the most innovative, imaginative and outstanding housing projects who make safe and decent housing a reality for some of the world's poorest people. Our vision is a world where everyone has a safe and secure home in a successful community.
