About Worldview Investment Management

Worldview Investment Management helps pension funds and other institutional investors to achieve clear, pre-defined payout or return targets at the lowest possible cost and within the desired risk budget. As a manager with decades of combined experience at leading global institutions, we design goal-oriented (targeted) DC solutions that closely replicate traditional DB plans, as well as bespoke inflation-plus mandates (e.g. CPI+3 or +4%) for long-term capital pools. We label ourselves as “disciplined qualitative quants”: our algos are not “black box” instruments, we use our advanced, quantitative models primarily to inform us, avoid biases and manage risk, as well as ensuring consistency and efficiency in our portfolio construction process. By executing our strategies with ETFs, baskets or other index-type products, we can keep costs very low. Our Target-DC© algorithms incorporate a broader and more relevant set of variables than standard DC structures. They fully individualize pension savings and include both actuarial elements such as future salary growth as well as forward-looking economic scenarios to optimize the strategic asset allocation (SAA, the most significant driver of long-term investment performance). A key differentiator is our explicit Risk Budget: we allocate risk in a controlled manner between SAA and Tactical Asset Allocation elements (return enhancing strategies), ensuring that their combined risk contributions are always in line with the overall risk constraints of the portfolio, as defined by the client’s risk appetite.
