About WOSAG

Founded in 1998 by a group of passionate women activists, the Women Support and Activist Group (WOSAG) has grown into a leading women-led organization advancing the rights and wellbeing of women and girls in Ghana. What began as a grassroots movement has transformed into a formally registered non-profit (since 2007), recognized for its impactful work across Northern Ghana. Today, WOSAG serves as a beacon of hope driving transformational change through advocacy, empowerment, and sustainable development. We work to create platforms and opportunities for women and girls to mobilize, lead, and participate fully in shaping resilient, equitable communities.
