About WUMEA

Founded in 1954, the Wits University Mining Engineers Association (WUMEA) is a global network of Wits Mining Engineering alumni and associates dedicated to advancing the mining profession and contributing to sustainable mineral and economic development. As a non-profit organization, WUMEA fosters collaboration, mentorship, and lifelong connections among its members while supporting student development at Wits University. Our activities are made possible through annual memberships, sponsorships, and donations from our valued community and partners.
