XYTOPIA is the brainchild practice of Xinyi Wang. We begin with X (unknowns) and ask Y (reasons). No preconceptions, just careful listening to people and places. We research, sketch, test, and externalise an internal understanding and sense of poetics into forms that can be felt: spaces, installations, and experiences that are honest, calm, and alive. Sydney / Beijing based, working internationally. Philosophy Everything is designed. Meaning comes before medium. We weave the unseen - stories, habits, climate, memory - into tangible and intangible outcomes. Co-design sits at the heart of our work: clients, communities, engineers, and fabricators shape the result alongside us. Circular thinking, local making where possible, and thoughtful use of technology guide our choices.
