Young Innovators in Microbiology, Biotechnology & Innovation Kenya (YIMBiK) is a research-driven, innovation-focused organization dedicated to developing Africa’s next generation of scientists, innovators, and development leaders. YIMBiK operates at the intersection of science, innovation, public health, food security, and sustainable development, with a strong emphasis on applied research, capacity building, and real-world impact. We bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical solutions by supporting young people to conduct meaningful research, develop innovative ideas, and translate evidence into action. Our work includes internship and fellowship programmes, applied research projects, innovation support, and science communication, delivered in collaboration with universities, research institutions, NGOs, and industry partners. All YIMBiK programmes are output-driven, emphasizing professional standards, ethical practice, and measurable impact. YIMBiK treats participants as emerging professionals, not passive trainees.
