About Youth For Understanding (YFU) Vlaanderen

Youth For Understanding (YFU) is an international educational exchange organization consisting of a network of more than 50 independent national organizations around the world. The mission of YFU as a non-profit organization is to have intercultural understanding, mutual respect and social responsibility. We work together to promote learning across cultures. Within the culture of each country, YFU organizations endorse and operate under a set of rules and standards that relate to cooperation and harmony. YFU Flanders wants to provide all Flemish young people the chance to experience an intercultural exchange. In order to achieve this goal, the organization wishes to continue investing in a program offer that is as varied as possible in terms of destinations, duration, cost price and time-of-use criteria.
