About Youth Leadership Society of BC

The Youth Leadership Society of British Columbia (YLSBC) promotes education and the development of youth leadership skills through experiential learning. Our youth-driven programs are designed to foster good citizenship and build their life skills. It is our endeavor that the youth are laying a good foundation for Canada. Our seeds were planted in 1997 when Ravi joined Boy Scouts of America as a parent volunteer and then as a leader. Subsequently, he joined Scouts Canada as a leader, remained committed to youth development, and finally founded Steps Together Foundation (STF) in 2011. STF is a family foundation which ran youth programs formally under an organizational umbrella. The programs proved to be popular with many families in the lower mainland, and there arose a need for a community service organization. Finally, YLSBC was founded on October 30, 2014 and officially launched it on September 13, 2015.
