About Zen Ochoa Gallery

Zen Ochoa is a contemporary mixed-media artist whose work explores the intersection of chaos, emotion, and transcendence. Born in Brooklyn, New York and based in Florida, Ochoa channels the rhythm of her urban roots and the introspection of spiritual rebirth into a bold visual language. Her practice blends abstraction, portraiture, and symbolism to reveal the emotional architecture of the human experience. Through layered textures, gestural strokes, and fragmented collage, she constructs visual narratives that evoke resilience, vulnerability, and transformation. Ochoa’s abstract works — such as Electric Bloom and Beneath the Mist — invite viewers into an energetic dialogue between movement and stillness, color and void. Her figurative collections, meanwhile, examine identity and memory through soulful gazes, fractured forms, and symbolic marks that speak to survival and healing. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, Ochoa weaves together elements of street art, surrealism, and emotional realism. Each piece functions as both mirror and medicine — reflecting the beauty that can emerge from turmoil. Her creative process is intuitive and raw, often guided by the idea that art can transform pain into power and silence into voice. Through the Zen Ochoa Gallery, she presents a cohesive vision that bridges fine art and contemporary expression, inviting collectors and curators to experience art as a living dialogue between the inner and outer world. Her work resonates with those drawn to authenticity, emotional depth, and the spiritual evolution of the human condition. Collectors, curators, and galleries are invited to explore her evolving collections — each piece a journey through the human condition, transformed into art that transcends the surface.
