About Zero Energy Homes

Founded to triple solve for Maine's housing affordability, climate, and rural economic development crises, Zero Energy Homes is dedicated to manufacturing high performance, net zero energy homes that are made with sustainably sourced, local and regional materials, and offering them with a more accessible price point in order to support the housing and energy needs of Mainers. We converted to cooperative worker ownership in December, 2025. Check out our Osprey and Fox Den models and express interest in building a home with us on our website.
