About Zonta Club of Brisbane

The Zonta Club of Brisbane is part of Zonta International, a global organisation dedicated to advancing the status of women and achieving gender equity worldwide. Since being chartered in 1971 as the first Zonta Club in Queensland, we have proudly served the Brisbane community by supporting local initiatives, advocating for women’s rights, and contributing to international service projects. Our work has tangible impact - we make birthing kits for women in PNG, work with community members and local councils to improve lighting and safety in Brisbane suburbs, give over $10,000 in education scholarships a year to girls at high school and university levels, and distribute DV Safety Cards to give people experiencing domestic and family violence resources to get help. Visit our website to see more of our projects. We are passionate about empowering women through education, service, and advocacy. Our club collaborates with business, government and industry to create real change, and in doing so we’ve built a wonderful community. The Zonta Club of Brisbane welcomes all - regardless of sex, age, gender, race, religion or background. Our Club currently has over 80 incredible members and is growing quickly!
