Service Manager

• Oversee service department operations
• Manage service technicians
• Manage all shop repair orders
• Increase NCU profit margins
• Ensure department sales goals are met
• Oversee department expenses
• Report data on sales volume, profits, and sales revenue
• Estimating and quoting
• Warranty administration
• Accurate and timely completion of sales reports
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork
• Maintain department files
• Effectively manage execution of projects at the store level
• Manage department/staff training using industry best practices
• Manage team performance reviews and staff development
• Act as a liaison between parts, sales & service
• Assist wherever needed in department
• Effective marketing
• Attend industry workshops as needed
• Educate the customer on NCU services
• Develop and leverage relationships with key decision makers
• Assist managing building maintenance
• Work with other department managers
• Identify customer needs and opportunities
• Motivate & lead through team excellence and work ethic
• Strong customer negotiation skills
• Understand the market and competition
• Recruit as needed
• Promote and build relationships with customers
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork
• Maintain department files
• Promote a safety-first workplace
• Assist Operations Manager as needed Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in a related field preferred
• Experience leading and managing people
• Interpersonal skills and ability to professionally communicate with customers
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

With the addition of Cargobull reefer units to the Utility portfolio, NCU is expanding our Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) and mobile service capabilities. Our parts department has an extensive inventory of Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. With our extensive product offerings, expert service capabilities, and geographic reach, we ensure we are a “One-Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts.
