Piping/Tubing Technician

Description INTECH Process Automation is seeking a Seasoned Piping/Tubing Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of instrument tubing and small-bore piping systems . Ensure tubing and piping assemblies are correctly installed, leak-free, properly supported, clean, identified, and protected.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and install instrument tubing and small-bore piping assemblies in accordance with approved drawings and procedures. Perform accurate tube cutting, bending, routing, and preparation . Install and tighten compression fittings, manifolds, valves, regulators, and tubing connections . Install and maintain proper supports, clamps, brackets, and tubing protection .

Perform leak, pressure, and functional tests as required. Inspect tubing and piping for correct routing, slope, supports, fittings, cleanliness, and workmanship . Troubleshoot and repair leaks, damaged tubing, fittings, and small-bore piping defects . Support installation and maintenance of impulse lines, pneumatic tubing, hydraulic tubing, and instrument connections .

Ensure tubing systems are properly identified, tagged, protected, and weatherproofed . Maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination, moisture ingress, and blockage during fabrication and installation. Restore and verify supports, clamps, insulation interfaces, and protective arrangements after maintenance. Coordinate with Instrumentation, Piping, Mechanical, Operations, ICSS, Construction, and HSE teams.

Maintain test records, inspection results, material records, and work completion documentation . Comply with PTW, LOTO, HSE, pressure safety, quality, and Company requirements .

Requirements

Technical Diploma, ITI, or relevant trade certificate ; task-specific competency certification where required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or comparable industrial facilities, including at least 3 years as a Piping/Tubing Technician . Hands-on experience with instrument tubing, small-bore piping, impulse lines, pneumatic and hydraulic tubing .

Competent in tube cutting, bending, routing, fitting, installation, and fabrication . Experience with compression fittings, manifolds, valves, regulators, and tubing connections . Knowledge of tubing supports, clamps, brackets, routing, identification, and weather protection . Experience performing leak and pressure testing and rectifying defects.

Strong awareness of cleanliness, contamination prevention, pressure hazards, and material compatibility . Ability to read hook-up drawings, tubing layouts, P&IDs, and installation details . Good coordination with Instrumentation, Piping, Mechanical, ICSS, Operations, Construction, and HSE . Knowledge of PTW/LOTO, pressure safety, HSE, quality, and site requirements .
