Underground Shift Supervisor

BARTO GOLD MINING Barto Gold Mining is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The Southern Cross Gold Operations (SXO) is a producing gold asset situated in Western Australia, located 375km east of Perth, 235km west of Kalgoorlie and 32km south of the town of Southern Cross.

The Southern Cross operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, two active Underground mines, one active Open Pit with the annual production of 80k oz. The 5-year plan has a production target of over 500,000 ounces. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on 2-week-on, 2-week-off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available.

About the role

Reporting to the Mine Foreman, this role works on a back-to-back roster and carries out the statutory duties and responsibility of an Underground Shift Supervisor. The Underground Shift Supervisor will be responsible for liaising with the mine operations teams and other departments to meet all safety, cost and production targets.

About you

Must hold WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a similar role Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations Strong communication skills, and ability to speak with all levels within the organisation Be able to monitor your crews competencies and training requirements Current "C" class WA Drivers licence Excellent organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team A solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently Culture & Benefits If you are ready to step up to the challenges of this role, it can lead to greater opportunities for career growth and progression.
