Parts Counterperson

NOW HIRING – AUTOMOTIVE PARTS COUNTERPERSON Position: Automotive Parts Counterperson Job Type: Full-Time Location: [Infiniti Of Dayton] Schedule: [Tues- Sat] Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our dealership's Parts Department. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of automotive parts, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Previous dealership parts experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with automotive parts knowledge and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist service technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale customers with parts requests. Identify and locate correct automotive parts using VINs, electronic parts catalogs, and dealership systems. Process parts orders, invoices, estimates, and special orders accurately. Maintain communication with technicians and service advisors regarding parts availability, backorders, and order status.

Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments. Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Process parts returns, warranty returns, and core returns according to dealership procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department. Provide professional and courteous customer service.

Work closely with the Parts Manager and other dealership departments to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

Previous automotive dealership parts counter experience. Familiarity with OEM automotive parts and electronic parts catalogs. Experience using Dealertrack DMS or similar dealership management software. Experience with parts ordering, inventory management, and wholesale parts sales.

Minimum Qualifications

General knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy work environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable attendance and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift and move automotive parts safely, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. Dealership experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience at automotive parts retailers, repair facilities, or related automotive businesses are encouraged to apply.
