Outpatient Intern
Job description
NCS’s Outpatient Services Program provides outpatient services that help children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem, ADHD, bereavement or other emotional, social and behavioral difficulties. Following a comprehensive assessment and consultation, WRP/Outpatient Clinicians identify the child’s needs and make recommendations for treatment.
Treatment may consist of one or more of the following: individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and/or medication management. Generally, sessions are about one hour weekly, though depending on the child’s needs, the pace may vary. Internship must be able to provide individual therapy and group therapy under the direction of a supervisor.
