3rd Shift Security Guard

Job Title: Security Guard (3rd Shift) Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour Schedule: 3rd Shift (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM) Position Type: Temp-to-Hire Job Overview We are seeking a reliable Security Guard to help maintain the safety and security of a residential property during overnight hours. The Security Guard will monitor the premises, conduct routine patrols, document incidents, and respond appropriately to security-related concerns while following established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor common areas, entrances, exits, and other designated property areas. Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the property, including parking lots, pool areas, and other assigned locations. Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, property damage, and policy violations. Maintain accurate and timely incident reports and daily activity logs.

Verify visitor identification and assist with access control procedures as needed. Respond to non-emergency security concerns in accordance with established protocols. Communicate effectively with residents, guests, management, and emergency personnel when necessary. Perform assigned security duties while working independently during overnight hours.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least one (1) year of security experience. Current South Carolina SLED Security Officer Certification required. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Basic report-writing and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift. Ability to patrol the property on foot as required. Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain awareness of surroundings. Ability to occasionally climb stairs and navigate various areas of the property. Screening Requirements Successful completion of a criminal background check, where permitted by applicable law.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, if required by company policy and applicable law. Ability to provide documentation establishing authorization to work in the United States. Work Environment This position requires regular movement throughout a residential property and exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions during overnight hours.
