Vehicle Acquisition Specialist / Used Vehicle Buyer Toyota Marin | San Rafael, CA 94901 $2,800–$15,000+ Per Month | Full-Time Now Hiring: Vehicle Acquisition Specialist / Used Vehicle Buyer Toyota Marin is looking for a motivated, sales-driven Vehicle Acquisition Specialist / Used Vehicle Buyer to help grow our pre-owned vehicle inventory.

This is an opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys building relationships, negotiating deals, generating leads, and working directly with customers. You will play an important role in sourcing quality pre-owned vehicles by connecting with private sellers, following up on leads, identifying acquisition opportunities, and helping the dealership obtain vehicles that meet current inventory needs.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, comfortable with outbound prospecting, skilled at building rapport, and motivated by a performance-based compensation plan with significant earning potential. Automotive sales, vehicle purchasing, or dealership experience is preferred. Candidates with strong sales and negotiation skills are encouraged to apply.

Generate acquisition opportunities through outbound calls, internet leads, referrals, online marketplaces, and customer outreach. Contact individuals interested in selling or trading their vehicles. Build relationships with prospective sellers and maintain consistent follow-up. Schedule appraisal appointments and guide customers through the vehicle acquisition process.

Gather vehicle information, assess condition, and coordinate appraisals with dealership management. Negotiate vehicle purchases while maintaining professionalism and a positive customer experience. Identify vehicles that align with dealership inventory needs and current market demand. Work with dealership management and the sales team to maximize acquisition opportunities.

Maintain accurate customer information, lead activity, and follow-up records in dealership systems. Meet performance goals related to lead generation, appointments, vehicle acquisitions, and sales results.

Qualifications

Automotive sales, vehicle acquisition, purchasing, or customer service experience preferred. Previous dealership experience is a plus. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable making outbound calls, prospecting, and initiating conversations with potential sellers. Ability to build trust, overcome objections, and negotiate professionally.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to earn based on performance. Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-up habits.
