Choose from 7 on/7 off or Monday through Friday shifts for Inpatient Cardiology Coverage.

Overview

Position Overview As an APRN within the Cardiology team, you will play an integral role in the management of patients with both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care, improve patient outcomes, and support seamless transitions throughout the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including: Acute coronary syndromes Heart failure Cardiac arrhythmias Valvular heart disease Pericardial disease Hypertensive emergencies Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing and laboratory results Initiate, adjust, and monitor cardiovascular therapies and medications Participate in daily patient rounds and ongoing care management Coordinate discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and follow-up care Educate patients and families regarding disease management, treatment plans, and preventive cardiovascular health Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Qualifications Required Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited APRN program Eligibility for APRN licensure in the State of Missouri National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Preferred Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Previous cardiology, cardiovascular, acute care, or inpatient experience ACLS certification Experience working in a collaborative, team-based care environment About Boone Health Boone Health is a 392-bed regional referral center serving Mid-Missouri and is nationally recognized for clinical excellence, nursing quality, and patient outcomes.
