Underwriting Intern, Transportation We are currently seeking high-performing, eager college student interested in starting their career in Underwriting, majoring in Insurance Risk/Business Risk/Business to participate in Novacore's 2027 Summer Internship Program, supporting our KBK program Tow Truck & Garage Insurance Program | KBK Insurance Group .

All internship opportunities are paid and offer mentorship, peer interaction, project work, executive visibility, volunteer opportunities, and networking events. Our internship program will run from May 17th through August 5th. This is a hybrid internship with 3 days required onsite at the Metairie, LA office and 2 days’ work from home.

Responsibilities

Fully assist team members as needed Interact with agents to provide superior customer service via phone and email Review submissions for completeness, accuracy, and make requests for information Assist with policy issuance, binding, and billing Review documentation & prepare files under Underwriting guidance Follow up on open items and request additional information to finalize tasks Attend team meetings and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Strong attention to detail & focus Customer-focused attitude and ability to maintain strong relationships Strong verbal & written communication skills Strong analytical & critical thinking skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and stay organized Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & demonstrate teamwork capabilities
