About the Role
The Data Specialist in the Health Care and Social Assistance industry plays a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive organizational performance and patient outcomes. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. Proven experience working with SQL databases to query and manage large datasets. Demonstrated proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and automation. Experience creating and managing KPI dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of data quality control principles and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Health, Data Analytics, or Health Information Management. Experience in the health care or social assistance sector with familiarity of industry-specific data standards and regulations. Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis and machine learning techniques. Certification in data analytics or business intelligence tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and automation frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive KPI dashboards to monitor health care performance metrics and social assistance program outcomes. Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to streamline reporting workflows and improve data accuracy. Write and optimize Python scripts for data analysis, cleansing, and integration from multiple sources including SQL databases.
Conduct rigorous quality control checks to validate data consistency, completeness, and reliability before dissemination. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, administrators, and IT to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
