CONNECT CAFÉ MANAGER Job Category: Restaurant Job Status: Full-time, exempt position Reports to: Director of Social Enterprises Responsibilities: P rimary responsibilities include but are not limited to : Oversee daily front and back of house restaurant operations, including food ingredient preparation, order fulfillment while staying within budget limitations, cleanliness , and customer service Supervise daily shift operations, train, coach, and provide feedback to café staff on restaurant procedures, customer service, and workplace expectations Prepare staff schedules, track employee hours, and record payroll information accurately Ensure staff follow organizational policies and applicable food safety, sanitation, and quality standards Monitor inventory; order food, supplies, and equipment within budget limitations; and identify opportunities to reduce waste and operating costs Address customer concerns professionally and seek guest feedback to improve service and product quality Greet customers and provide attentive, friendly customer service Take, prepare and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed Evaluate staff performance and provide ongoing feedback and support Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of prospective employees Qualifications & Preferred Skills High school diploma or equivalent required Previous restaurant experience required; management experience preferred Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly Prolonged periods of standing at a counter and working in a restaurant environment Job may require: Lifting up to 25 lbs Standing for long durations Reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, shaking, stirring, pouring, carrying and pushing Compensation & Benefits Compensation commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including: Highly-competitive health plan Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) with generous employer contribution Life insurance and long-term disability provided at no cost to employee Voluntary life and short-term disability options available 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 6% employer match Flexible Spending Account with medical expense and dependent care options Employee Assistance Program Generous paid time off and holidays Foster.
