Parking Enforcement Officer

Statement of Duties Enforces all city parking rules and regulations by issuing citations for illegal parking. Assists the general public by giving directions pertaining to the location of buildings and streets throughout the city; all other related work as required. Supervision Incumbent reports to a Bureau Commander, receiving instructions weekly.

Plans and carries out regular work in accordance with standard practices and previous training, exercising substantial independence, considerable judgment and tact in answering inquiries and determining correct course of action.  Job Environment Most work is performed outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
