Full-Time Teaching Assistant � Kingswood Academy Job Description: Kingswood Academy, an alternative high school education program, is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to help support at-risk students Program Summary: Kingswood Academy is an alternative education program designed to support at-risk students through personalized learning plans, real-world experiences, and strong community connections.

The program empowers students to demonstrate their knowledge, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging and purpose. Kingswood Academy serves high school students from diverse backgrounds and supports a wide range of academic abilities.

Responsibilities

Closely collaborate with program director and support teachers in delivering individualized instruction and implementing personalized learning plans Build positive, supportive relationships with students to foster engagement and trust Assist with classroom management and help maintain a structured, inclusive learning environment Provide academic support in both small group and one-on-one settings, across various content areas and grade levels Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff Help facilitate and assist with supervision during transitions, lunch, and other community activities Qualifications: Previous experience working with at-risk students is preferred.
