Pipe Laborer

RYCO Excavating, Inc. is seeking resumes for a Pipe Laborer to join our excavation team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in utility construction and earthwork, with knowledge of pipe laying and grading. This role requires a detail-oriented and hardworking individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our projects.

Hiring bonus: $1,000. $500 to be paid after 6 months of employment and then $500 after 1 year of employment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials. Assist in utility construction projects, including pipe laying and grading. Follow all safety protocols and ensure the safety of the worksite. Conduct pre-operation checks and regular maintenance on equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and other construction documents.

Requirements

Proven experience as a laborer in utility construction and/or earthwork. Knowledge of pipe laying and grading techniques. Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in heavy equipment operation a plus. Experience with GPS and other advanced excavation technologies a plus. OSHA 10-hour training a plus.
