Overnight Supervisor

About the Role

The Overnight Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations during the overnight shift at our Reston, VA facility. This position is responsible for overseeing staff performance, maintaining safety and security protocols, and addressing any operational issues that arise during the night. The supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for escalations and ensures that all company policies and procedures are strictly followed.

By providing leadership and support to the overnight team, the supervisor helps maintain high standards of service and operational excellence. Ultimately, this role ensures that the facility operates seamlessly through the night, supporting overall business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a similar overnight or shift-based environment. Strong understanding of safety and security protocols. Ability to work overnight hours consistently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Experience in facilities management or operations supervision. Certification in first aid, CPR, or emergency response. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards. Proficiency with scheduling and reporting software.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of overnight staff to ensure productivity and adherence to company standards. Monitor facility operations to maintain safety, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or operational disruptions, escalating issues as necessary.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment functionality and workplace cleanliness. Prepare and submit detailed reports on overnight activities, incidents, and staff performance. Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to foster a positive and efficient work environment. Collaborate with day-shift supervisors to ensure seamless handover and continuity of operations.
