Position Summary

Description To ensure an effective and efficient functioning of the contract inventory, and investment recovery, process involving an inventory excess of 30,000-line items, while providing high service level requirements. To monitor warehouse inventory operations and provide recommendations for improvement. To revise, implement, and update the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) as necessary, in order to optimize Seminole's inventory investment.

To review existing trends, technology and potential developments in the field of materials management and evaluates their use at SECI. Develops training programs for the department including EAMS training documentation. Provide reports to the Supply Management Department as requested. To serve as backup to the Materials Manager on the Supply Management Unified Command Remote Support Team in case of disaster.

Qualifications

and Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field required. Two (2) years of materials, logistics, contracting, investment recovery, or inventory related courses required. Five (5) years of analytical materials management, logistics, investment recovery, contract management, or inventory experience is required.

Two (2) years of appropriate experience may be substituted for each year of academics. Additional courses in materials management after degree preferred. Applicable professional certifications highly desirable. Reviews security assignments on an annual basis and recommends revisions with Materials Manager. Serves as EAMS user representative for SECI for all aspects of EAMS. Reviews and rates all proposed enhancements submitted to determine potential impact to EAMS software. Also coordinates with IT department on any changes to system.

Reviews all support requests for changes and enhancements to determine validity and need. Makes recommendations to the Materials Manager and Director of Supply Management for approval or rejection. Develops and maintains library of Reports to support Supply Management department and external department requests. Develops and administers Cycle Count Program and reconciles monthly reporting differences.

Develops and maintains catalog nomenclature standards and reviews changes submitted. Assists Materials manager when required. Initiates and maintains Seminole's obsolete and surplus inventory listings for Obsolete Inventory Review. Determines economic order quantities and, with based on information provided by users, adjusts system as needed for all inventory items to include increases, decreases and deletion.

Utilizing inventory optimization methods, maintains inventory at a level, which balances inventory investment and availability. Researches, reviews, evaluates, and recommends alternate sources of supply to the user groups and buyers. Coordinates with other Materials Analysts within the utility industry to develop information exchange about inventory systems and procedures and reciprocal agreements regarding spare parts and consumable items.

Reviews all potential Catalog Additions for duplicity and accuracy. Prepares quarterly analysis of system reports distribution to review utilization. Manages stock reorder requisitions and emergency stock requisitions. Receives, reviews, and processes stock reorder requisitions. Coordinates fixes to discrepancies. Approves purchase requisitions generated by Materials Analysts for accuracy and validity.

Manages system average price maintenance. Administers corporate surplus/obsolete Investment Recovery Program. Makes recommendations on environmental disposal problems with advice from Environmental Health and Safety Department. Collects data, performs financial analysis, and makes recommendations concerning asset/equipment sales decisions.

Creates monthly Supply Management statistics report. Initiates, coordinates and evaluates blanket contracts for stocked inventory, vendor managed inventory and consignment inventory. Administers vendor stocking, vendor consignment, and vendor managed inventory programs/contracts/arrangements. Provides Logistic Support for Contracts.

Coordinates with Planners for project management. Monitors Warehouse Inventory Operations and provides recommendations for improvement to plant management. Administers RAPID (Readily Accessible Parts Information Directory) and inventory data pooling/sharing arrangements. Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.

NERC Compliance : Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole's Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in "audit-ready" form. You should also be familiar with Seminole's Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole's compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.

Physical Requirements Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. Must be able to lift heavy objects on occasions, up to 50 lbs. Must wear a hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses while at plants.

Working Conditions Normal office working conditions with some overnight travel and work outside of normal business hours at construction sites for field work, pre-bid meetings, project meetings and/or implementation and contractor oversight. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.

Must attend related professional courses, training and seminars that may involve overnight stays of up to one week. “ Disclaimer
