General Production Manager

Job Title: General Production Manager – 2nd Shift Location: Humboldt, TN 38343 Work Arrangement: Onsite Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM CST Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 annually (Depending on experience) Relocation Assistance: Available for eligible candidates Key Responsibilities: Direct and oversee daily production operations, including production schedules, workflow, and product rotation.

Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors to achieve operational goals. Monitor production performance, yield management, quality, and productivity. Improve employee retention, reduce turnover and absenteeism, and promote positive team morale. Oversee attendance tracking, disciplinary procedures, employee motivation, and performance management.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, HACCP, and workplace safety standards. Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and verify compliance with established procedures. Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements. Support safety initiatives and oversee the facility's safety committee.

Maintain production documentation, reports, and operational records. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment OR 2+ years of supervisory experience with Tyson Foods. Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred; poultry or fresh meat processing experience is a plus.

Proven leadership experience managing production teams and supervisors. Demonstrated ability to improve employee retention and reduce turnover. Experience working in a fast-paced, large-scale manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills. Basic computer skills. Work Environment: Onsite position in a food manufacturing facility.

Must be comfortable working in production environments with temperatures typically ranging from 28°F to 45°F. Must be able to access production areas using stairs, steps, and fixed ladders.
