Thesis: Single Prompt Application
Job description
High Level Description AI as a tool is influencing our lives at an accelerating speed. This is affecting the IT and software development industry in unpredictable ways. What used to take days is now implemented in minutes, and programmers are slowly transforming into architects designing applications at a high level. Since the technology is so new, the new ways of working are still being debated.
What is the best and most effective way to use AI? Is it better to have a team of AI agents or to use a single all-knowing agent? How much time is actually saved, and will the development process of the future be less or more expensive than today? This thesis will investigate the most effective way of using AI for development, with a focus on finding a way to create an application using as few prompts as possible.
It will also compare AI-driven development with the old/current way of developing web applications. Project Description This project aims to compare different ways of AI-driven development in terms of effectiveness, price, and accuracy. It involves the creation of a simple web application hosted in the cloud using nothing but AI prompts.
For this, the AI agents must be predefined with skills and MCP (Model Context Protocol). The main goal is to find the most effective way of setting up an application with as few prompts as possible. Different AI-agent setups, such as a single agent or multiple specialized agents, will be compared. The final outcome should find and pinpoint the most effective way of using AI agents for software development, as well as compare the agents to human developers.
Who are we looking for? Bachelor/Master of Science in Computer Science/Engineering Graduation in June 2027 Fluency in Swedish, both written and spoken Fluency in English, both written and spoken Purpose In this thesis investigate these questions: Investigate how AI agents can be used to develop a simple web application using as few prompts as possible.
Compare different AI-agent setups, such as a single agent and multiple specialized agents. Measure the different approaches based on factors such as number of prompts, development time, price, and accuracy. Compare AI-driven development with the traditional way of developing web applications. An Exciting Journey with Knightec Group Semcon and Knightec have joined forces as Knightec Group.
