Fire Alarm Helper/Apprentice

Company Profile: 1st FP Services, LLC is a privately-owned fire protection company that designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection systems in commercial & industrial buildings. We have offices located in San Antonio, McAllen, Austin, Waco, Houston, College Station, Lubbock, and Laredo.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Helper to join our growing team. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the installation of commercial fire alarm and life safety systems on new construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in quality workmanship and eager to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with installing, inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm/life safety systems. Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure compliance with all safety and industry regulations. Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.

Collaborate with team members and project managers on job site planning and execution. Stay up to date on industry trends, codes, and licensing requirements.

Requirements

Work toward a Fire Alarm License (FAL). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks for government projects.

Strong Core Values (Work-ethic, Responsibility, Integrity, etc) Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
