Activities Assistant

The Activity Assistant is responsible for ensuring that residents have engaging, enjoyable activities to participate in. Some of their day-to-day job duties include:

• Brainstorming ideas for activities
• Soliciting feedback from participants to identify what worked well and what areas of improvement exist
• Keeping detailed records of activities to track participation
• Help keep residents entertained
• Create opportunities for socialization, exercise and creative thinking that can improve resident quality of life
• Provide opportunities for learning and enrichment

Education and Experience

• Creative thinking skills
• Organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills to interact positively with other staff
• Problem solving skills to overcome obstacles before or during activities
• Written communication skills to compile participant surveys and activity reports
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
