Job description

Position Summary

Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales activities for production items, including pricing, customer management, sales performance, KPI, sales forecast, budget planning, localization, order placement, and follow-up. Report to purchasing manager and supervise assistance staff.

Essential Functions

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures and leads others in same.
  • Learns, demonstrates, and upholds the HTGP Core Values.
  • Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy.
  • Confirms and adheres to all required HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF 16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures.
  • Always maintains pro-team member environment.
  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget.
  • Performs special assignments as required by management. EHS:
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Consistently meets company safety goals. Technical:
  • Management team member’s work and assignment
  • Management part shortage / delay of development / contract issues
  • Negotiate terms and conditions including material price with customers.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report KPI performance, actual results, and projected sales volumes.
  • Coordinate customer’s requirement.
  • Oversee payment collection and ensure accurate management of accounts receivable.
  • Evaluate supplier’s performance periodically.
  • Prepare for USMCA/NAFTA trace value to customers.
  • Maintain and verify country of origin data of all imported parts to pass through customs.
  • Follow up EO (engineering change order) with MP&L, customers, and suppliers.
  • Prepare reporting for decision making such as in house/buying from vendors.
  • Update the master file of material price, change the price if necessary.
  • Reconcile material price between master file and SAP periodically.
  • Maintain records regarding material prices and scheduling agreements.
  • Communicates with all group leaders, team leaders and team members as required.
  • Responsible for managing inventories of production parts from oversea and issuing PO as well.
  • Urgent business trip for customer meeting, supply management to local vendors Leadership:
  • Coordinate with other departments (Quality, Purchasing, Machining, Assembly, and PC) to support mass production.
  • Proactively manage HTGP KPI requirements to meet yearly target.
  • Lead all sales requirements supporting mass production.
  • Lead local operations through effective coordination with H/Q.
  • Mange and account for PPAP process and communicate with other departments actively.
  • Follow up countermeasures to eliminate root cause and prevent quality issue.
  • Lead price negotiations with customers and drive profitability improvement.
  • Resolves the conflicts in positive manner and communicates with other departments.
  • Department Security Officer – You are required to deliver security tasks to your team and manage your department’s security documents and assets.

Education

  • High School/GED
  • 4 Year Degree
  • Master’s degree in business, management or engineering preferred. Reporting:

  • 3 – 5 years sales related experience required
  • Knowledge of U.S. Custom regulations required.
  • Experience with sales systems in US.
  • Lead effective responses to customer requirements, inquiries, and business issues.
  • Analyze business data and report key findings to the Coordinator.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction.
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills.
