Community schools are based on four core evidence-based features: collaborative leadership and practice, family and community engagement, wellness and integrated student supports and expanded learning time. The School Based Mental Health Supervisor delivers mental health services and supports to students, and supports parents, school staff and other professionals supporting students and provides clinical supervision to School Based Clinician and Interns.

Job Responsibilities

Plans and provides individual and/or group therapy consistent with the needs of the students including carrying a specific caseload Responds to student crises and provides de-escalation and support Provides direct clinical supervision of School Based Clinician and Interns Develops strong relationships with the Community School team, the Graham Beacon team, guidance counselor, teachers, parents and students Collaborates with school staff, parents and other professionals to plan and implement interventions and strategies to improve social, emotional and/or social skills for specific students Creates and facilitates professional development opportunities for the school staff.

Maintains open communication with teachers and guidance counselor and attends school meetings as scheduled Provides complete and timely documentation to support services delivered Ensures compliance with licensure, contract and private foundations requirements Qualifications: Position Qualifications: LCSW, LCAT, or LMHC preferred; LMSW would be considered.

3+ years direct experience working with youth and families in the mental health field Previous experience supervising mental health and social work professionals/interns preferred Prior clinical experience with children/adolescents/families Ability to work effectively with school aged youth, educators, families and communities from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
