Jr. Developer
Job description

This role will focus on the development of tools, applications, and extensions with a strong emphasis on AI-related components.
The candidate should be comfortable working across data, backend, and (ideally) frontend development, collaborating closely with team members to deliver innovative solutions. Design, develop, and maintain applications and platform features that integrate AI components into Bond’s ecosystem. Apply prompt engineering and context engineering techniques to optimize AI model performance.
Develop and maintain backend logic using Python and SQL (PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake SQL). (Preferred) Build and enhance front-end interfaces using React, Tailwind CSS , and the Next.js framework. Manage and integrate APIs for data ingestion, processing, and delivery. Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Apply strategic thinking to prioritize development efforts in alignment with organizational goals. Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively within the team. Leverage business understanding to ensure solutions meet practical needs and deliver value. Integration of AI solutions into Bond software and knowledge systems.
Builds solution integrations into Bond systems. Develops and tests code elements of solutions. Handles data access, authentication, secrets, PII and logging. Monitors solution performance and model usage cost. Supports compliance with Information Security and Legal. A university or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
1–2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure services. Strong foundation in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL or Snowflake). Understanding of prompt engineering and context engineering for AI/LLM applications. Experience collaborating in a team environment and working cross-functionally. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and consider the broader impact of technical decisions. Experience with API management and integration . Experience leveraging Claude Code and/or Copilot Studio or similar AI applications to support automation and enhancements to streamlining Bond’s delivery for clients and internal operations Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within large, multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities with professionalism and sound judgment. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Bond uses AI tools during parts of the screening, assessment, and selection process, supporting a fair and efficient hiring process. Compensation
The expected base salary compensation for this role is $65,050 to $86,450 CAD annually. The actual base salary compensation will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
