General Instructional Assistant (Substitute)

Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assists a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students; assists in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of educational goals and objectives; assists students with performing academic, daily living and social acquiring social and behavioral skills; provides routine clerical support.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Completed at least 48 college credits of study at an institution of higher education (college level) OR Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree OR Met (passed) an assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics and mathematics readiness.

Prior job related experience, paid or volunteer, with school age children highly desirable. Valid California driver's license. Employment contingent upon receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
