Sr. Material Handler - Forklift

Blue. Linx is looking for a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to assist in our distribution center. Our Material Handlers assist us with safely loading our trucks and unloading our railcars. • Friday schedule $22.40 hourly pay rate Safe & Reliable Equipment Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Life Insurance, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, holiday pay and paid time off (PTO) RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines. Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage. Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk) Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products. Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment. Maintains cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area. Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport product, load/unload trucks Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to work independently, at times under pressure Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to read/comprehend sales order, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
