At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. Summary CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity at our Ortonville, MN location! We are looking for a Warehouse Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for supporting warehouse and transportation operations through inventory management, trailer loading and unloading, equipment operation, and shipping and receiving documentation.

This role works independently to organize inventory, create and dispatch loads, assist truck drivers, and coordinate truck maintenance to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. The position typically operates Monday through Friday with on-call responsibilities and occasional weekend work during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

Independently perform all job functions within the warehouse including loading/unloading trailers, moving pallets of product, palletizing product, picking orders and completing documentation. Demonstrate strong dependability by consistently managing warehouse operations without direct supervision. Take ownership of warehouse performance and accountability for inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and facility upkeep.

Exhibit excellent attendance, reliability, and problem-solving skills while handling multiple responsibilities independently. Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, customers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat/clean and complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

Manage product inventory and follow first in-first out shipping and rotation principles. Complete shipping, receiving and inspection documents neatly and accurately. Operate equipment for loading and unloading. This includes operating an end loader, switching engine, fork lift, and skid loader. Conduct truck inspections prior to loading with product.

Perform basic preventative maintenance Follow all plant and food safety rules and procedures. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

(required) 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Warehouse Operations Additional Qualifications Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification Ability to perform math related to order counts and inventory management Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen High School diploma or GED preferred Prior warehouse experience preferred Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.

If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse. Compensation

includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
