CNC Operator

Job Summary

The CNC Operator I operates various CNC turning machines with bar feeders, to produce metal pieces used to make components of ammunition, while maintaining a high-quality and efficiency consciousness. Primary Responsibilities:

• Must be capable of operating complex drilling, CNC turning machines with bar feeders
• Required to use precision measuring instruments for inspection of machined parts. (i.e. calipers, micrometers)
• Must be capable of maintaining tolerances and drawing requirements and adjusting CNC equipment as required
• Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in CNC turning
• Ability to measure using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under limited supervision
• Requires extended periods of standing, must be capable of standing for the length of shift
• Ability to reach, grab, pull, and work with hands
• Must be capable of lifting and transferring materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
