Job description
Job Duties: Uses hand tools, power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment. Examples include motors, advanced hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Ensures new machines are prepared for operation following protocols and procedures. Performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency. Collects data on machine operation and suggests actions to reduce machine downtime through the use of work orders in a CMMS.
Requirements
Performs work under general supervision. Manages moderately complex issues and problems. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and or mentoring to a subordinate group. Preferred accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience.
This position will have the pay and starting position decided by a placement test that will show where a technician falls within our pay or job structure. Each class is estimated to take 10-12 hours.
