Job description

ROLE PURPOSE The Talent Acquisition Partner, based at Opella's Narita site, is responsible for supporting strong recruitment delivery across Japan, with primary ownership of hiring for the Narita site and backup support for Head Office-Japan hirings. The role will deliver end-to-end recruitment and build sustainable talent pipelines across Manufacturing & Supply, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial and enabling functions.

Additional recruitment support for other Asian countries may be assigned on a case-by-case basis, depending on business priorities and capacity. Working closely with hiring managers and People & Culture partners, the TA Partner will translate workforce needs into practical hiring strategies and strengthen Opella's access to talent through direct sourcing, Japanese job boards, employee referrals, campus and university partnerships, employer value proposition (EVP) activation and effective agency management.

The role will also support hiring-manager training and recruitment capability building, contributing to consistent hiring practices, a strong candidate and hiring-manager experience, and accurate recruitment data in Workday across both Narita and Head Office hiring. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Own end-to-end recruitment: Lead the full hiring lifecycle from recruitment strategy discussion and requisition readiness through advertising, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer management, acceptance and handover for pre-boarding.
  2. Partner with the business: Work closely with hiring managers and People & Culture partners to understand workforce priorities, define success profiles, challenge requirements constructively and agree clear hiring strategies.
  3. Build direct talent pipelines: Proactively identify and engage talent through LinkedIn, referrals, professional networks, talent mapping and targeted outreach, with particular focus on recurring and hard-to-fill Narita roles.
  4. Activate local job board channels: Select, manage and optimize Japanese job boards and local advertising channels. Track channel quality, conversion and hiring outcomes to continuously improve return on investment.
  5. Lead campus & university recruitment: Build trusted partnerships with universities, technical colleges and vocational institutions. Represent Opella at career events and develop internship, graduate and early-career pipelines.
  6. Manage agencies & vendors: Use agencies selectively for approved needs, set clear briefs and service expectations, monitor quality and delivery, and manage vendor performance and spending while reducing agency dependency.
  7. Deliver recruitment excellence: Maintain complete and accurate recruitment data in Opella Workday, follow global and local processes, provide clear hiring updates and use insights to improve speed, quality, experience and compliance.
