TEMP TO PERMANENT POSITIONWork Environment This is an on-site position requiring the ability to work throughout the warehouse and operational areas. The role may involve repetitive, physically demanding, or detail-oriented tasks and requires flexibility to support changing business priorities.

Position Summary

The Operations Specialist is a versatile member of the warehouse and operations team who provides support acrossshipping, receiving, inventory, assembly, and other operational functions based on daily and weekly business demands. This role will serve as a flexible resource, moving between functions as priorities change and supporting special requests, projects, and other operational needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong warehouse background, excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Assembly experience is a plus, and strong knowledge of inventory practices is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations across shipping, receiving, inventory, assembly, and general warehouse functions. * Serve as a flexible resource and rover between operational areas based on workload, staffing needs, special requests, and projects. * Perform inventory-related activities, including counting, verification, organization, and reconciliation.

  • Perform assembly activities accurately and in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements. * Support shipping and receiving activities, including order preparation, material handling, verification, and documentation. * Complete tasks that may involve manual processes outside of the primary operating systems.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling inventory, documentation, and other critical operational information. * Identify issues, think critically, and determine appropriate next steps or escalate when necessary. * Assist with process improvement initiatives, special projects, and other operational assignments.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. * Maintain an organized, safe, and productive work environment. * Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience required; strong warehouse experience preferred. * Assembly experience is a plus. * Inventory experience and knowledge of inventory control practices strongly preferred. * Strong attention to detail is critical. * Ability to work effectively with both system-driven and manual processes.

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work across multiple operational functions. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to perform repetitive or tedious tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity. * Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
