Job Description: Infrastructure Engineer Overview: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports our organization's operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement IT infrastructure projects. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions. Deploy and configure infrastructure services such as servers, storage, networking equipment, and virtualization technologies. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure systems are running optimally. Implement security measures to protect infrastructure from vulnerabilities and cyber threats. Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks. Implement configuration management tools for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams. Collaborate with vendors and external partners as needed. Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Ensure infrastructure meets regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
